REGISTRATION for our Foundations Language Arts/English teacher-led, class-based courses will begin online at 9 pm on Thurs November 5, 2026 for new students.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  Permanent Residents of Canada; Canadian citizens; Refugees; Study Permit holders and Work Permit holders**. Students must be ordinarily resident in BC.  

Classes are held: 
Monday to Thursday
November 18, 2026 to January 26, 2027
either 9 am-11:30 am OR 12 pm-2:30 pm

Students may register for the level that they are assessed at or have permission to register for.  

What happens if a course is full?  Please add your name to the Waitlist by clicking on the Course Name, then + Waiting List.  We will contact waitlisted students by phone within the first week of term if space becomes available.  If you do not receive a call from us within the first week of term, please re-register for the next term.

REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS
All students (except those who have been studying with us during the 2026-2027 school year) are required to provide proof of status in Canada and proof of residency in BC.

Students must submit the following documents, via email to rce@sd38.bc.ca, within 24 hours of registration:
- valid Permanent Resident card; OR Canadian Citizenship card; OR Canadian passport or birth certificate; OR valid work permit of at least one year with passport, BC letter of employment (confirming employment of at least 20 hours/week) and two current paystubs; OR valid study permit and passport; AND
- TWO pieces of documents to show residency in BC - BC Driver's Licence; BC Services Card; rental agreement; property tax notice; utility bill; credit card bill

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Richmond Continuing Education reserves the right to request further documentation to determine eligibility.  Any missing or requested registration documents not provided to the school office within 24 hours may result in course cancellation.
