Richmond Education Assistant Program (REAP)

Richmond Continuing Education offers a Full Time and Part Time program for Richmond Education Assistant Program (REAP).  REAP students learn how to work with Kindergarten to Grade 12 students with physical, behavioral, sensory and learning needs in schools.  Joining REAP will open the door to job opportunities in this challenging and fulfilling career field in education.

 

Part Time REAP

Part Time REAP begins in January and continues until February/early March of the following year.  Classes are held online through Zoom on Mondays and Wednesdays (6 pm to 9 pm) and in person on Saturdays (9 am to 3:30 pm).  In-person classes take place at the Richmond Adult Education Centre (12091 Cambie Road).

The next intake will be for Part Time REAP 2027-2028.  

Applications due:  Mon October 26 @ 4 pm

Shortlist of Applicants/Interviews:  Tues November 3 - Fri November 6

Offers e-mailed to applicants:  Mon November 9

Deadline for acceptance of offers:  Fri November 13

First tuition instalment ($4,750) due:  Thurs November 19

Second tuition instalment ($2,000) due:  Fri December 11

Note:  REAP fees are not eligible for Student Aid or government loans.

Full Time REAP

Full Time REAP 2027 will begin in early July and end in late November/early December.  

Classes take place in person Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm at the Adult Education Centre (12091 Cambie Road).

Practica are held during school hours during the regular school year in Richmond School District schools.

Applications for Full Time REAP 2027 will be accepted starting late February 2027.
